This group therapy course is specifically designed for mothers/birthing people who have a baby under the age of 2 years old.
If you’ve experienced a traumatic birth, this group course may not be the most suitable option for you right now. Group settings can sometimes feel overwhelming when you’re coping with trauma, and your needs may be better supported through 1:1 therapy, where you can receive personalised, trauma‑focused care at a pace that feels safe.
If you’re unsure whether the group would be right for you, please feel free to get in touch. I’m more than happy to offer a complimentary 15‑minute consultation to talk through your experiences, answer any questions, and help determine what support would be the best fit for you.
You don’t have to figure it out alone — I’m here to help you choose what feels safest and most supportive.
If you click here, and complete the contact form with your details and a brief note describing that you would like to book onto the next course, I will send you the booking details and bank details for payment to secure your place. Your place can only be confirmed with full payment upfront.
The course is £210 which works out at £35 per 90 minute session. This is considerably more cost effective than 1:1 therapy sessions which start from £75 per 50-60 minute session.
To celebrate the launch of the first course, it is discounted to £190 for the first 5 people who book.
Each session is one and a half hours / 90 minutes long, with a short break mid-way.
Ideally yes, so that you can get the most out of the sessions, as we will cover a different topic and related techniques each session. Of course, life happens and you may not be able to attend a session, you will still receive all of the course materials.
Ideally yes if you can, but if you need some privacy to feed or tend to your baby, then please feel free to swich your camera off whilst doing this.
No — there is absolutely no pressure to talk or share if you don’t feel comfortable. Many people choose to simply listen at first, and that is completely okay. You are welcome to take part in whatever way feels right for you.
That said, some attendees do find that sharing their thoughts or experiences can enhance their learning and help them feel more connected within the group. But if and when you choose to share is entirely up to you. Your comfort and sense of safety always come first.
Each group course has 5 spaces available, so there will be a maximum of 5 other mothers/birthing person and myself. The group may be smaller depending on how many people register for each course. If you are the only person registered, I will let you know so that you can consider joining the next start date or 1:1 therapy sessions instead, as there needs to be a minimum of 2 people registered to ensure the course is viable to run.
Yes of course! With the session being online, you will be in the comfort of your own home. Feel free to attend to your baby's or your own needs at any point during the session, whether that's giving them a feed, changing a nappy, or having some toys for them to explore whilst keeping them close. I love seeing the babies join us too! If you prefer to be able to fully focus on the course, and you have suitable childcare, you can also attend alone.
I would strongly recommend that any children above the age of 2 are cared for by someone else during the sessions, as it can be challenging to focus on the content of the sessions whilst caring for multiple children, and it would be a shame for you not be able to get the most out of the session.
Whilst the course is specifically designed and directed to support the mother/birthing person, your partner is welcome to sit in with you so that they are aware of the tools and techniques we will be going through.
If this is the case, you can always follow up by booking in further 1:1 CBT or EMDR sessions with me after you complete the course. Please click here to see further information about prices.
One of the most rewarding things about group therapy is a sense of normalisation and not feeling alone with what you are going through. Due to confidentiality and GDPR, I am unable to share each others contact details, but if as a group you are all consenting to share your contact details, then I am more than happy for you to share this between yourselves within the chat function of the calls.
